Recently, the CNO/CRMO subgroup of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance developed a consensus treatment plan with 3 treatment arms: (1) Conventional DMARDs such as methotrexate or sulfasalazine, (2) biologic DMARDs, including TNF-α inhibitors with or without concomitant methotrexate, and (3) bisphosphonates. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis.
