The chimeric alpha-fetoprotein peptide, modified and created from AFP [115], was investigated as an anticancer agent in the treatment of breast cancer, particularly estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer, and resulted in alterations in the aminoacyl-tRNA, glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, and biosynthesis of biotin and amino acids, acting on specific cancer cells, with potential as medicine for the treatment of breast cancer [116]. The gene discussed is ESR1; the disease is cancer.
