These findings suggested that 6‐shogaol provokes cytotoxicity and apoptosis, enhances ROS production, and prevents the translocation of STAT3, which reduces the overexpression of PCNA, cyclin‐D1, and Bcl‐2, and downregulates the concentration of Bax, caspase‐3, and caspase‐9 in ovarian cancer cell lines (A2780). The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
