To further explore the biological functions of SETBP1 in MDS, we firstly knocked down SETBP1 in MDS-L cells (Fig. 5E) and found that knockdown of SETBP1 significantly inhibited cell growth (Fig. 5F) and colony formation (Fig. 5G), but increased cell apoptosis (Fig. 5H), and arrested the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase (Fig. 5I). This evidence concerns the gene SETBP1 and myelodysplastic syndrome.
