CRP was found to have the highest area under the curve as an individual marker (0.76 [95% confidence interval {CI} = 0.73–0.79) with 71% sensitivity and 80.5% specificity for cancer within 6 months of first presentation of UWL in primary care followed by raised neutrophils (0.64 [CI = 0.61–0.67]).
