Among these 20 genes, TIMP1, IL27RA, LIF, ETV1, and CTHRC1 were the top five most significantly correlated with the BRAF(V600E) mutation in human colon cancer, thyroid cancer, and melanoma; and only CTHRC1 was identified to be statistically significantly associated with the prognosis of all three tumor types (data will be shown later) (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and malignant colon neoplasm.
