Chen et al. (2019) had identified YBX1 and ENO1 as two out of three TF markers for breast cancer. Researchers also found that YBX1 and ENO1 were the two most significant genes that progressively decreased in expression during the acinar cell development (Hauser et al. 2020), providing a potential explanation for the relation between the overexpression of these two genes and breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene YBX1 and breast cancer.
