Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), such as anti‐programmed death‐1 (PD1), anti‐programmed death ligand‐1 (PD‐L1), and anti‐cytotoxic T‐lymphocyte‐associated protein 4 inhibitors (CTLA4), have been successfully utilized to treat various cancers including metastatic melanoma, renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and non‐small cell lung cancer.
