The results revealed that AGO1-V2 is indeed aberrantly activated in various types of tumors, with the highest activation frequencies in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCA, 35%), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD, 30%), lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC, 19%), and head and neck carcinoma (HNSC, 18%). This evidence concerns the gene AGO1 and head and neck carcinoma.
