CKB and obesity disorder: On this basis, we speculate that the TATA‐induced anti‐leukemia effect is age‐dependent, as TATA declines with age.[25] We should emphasize that other critical components for the futile creatine cycle, including creatine kinase B (CKB) and glycine amidinotransferase (GATM), the rate‐limiting enzyme of creatine biosynthesis, are also essential for adipose thermogenesis.[26] Genetic deletion of CKB or GATM in adipocytes diminishes adipose thermogenic activity and predisposes to obesity and insulin resistance.
