Given that cpr‐2 and cpr‐5 are widely expressed in neurons (Durham et al., 2021; Lockhead et al., 2016), and genes involved in controlling lysosomal function have been linked to prevalent idiopathic neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Udayar et al., 2022), our study also investigated the effect of ADF on neurodegenerative disease models in nematodes. Here, TBRG4 is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
