As indicated, genes such as PIK3R2, PLCB1, EGFR, JAK2, PLCG2, GNG7, GNG13, PTEN, GNAI1, MAPK1, PRKCB, PRKCD, and STAT3 genes were located at the core of the network, indicating that these genes were related to mastitis in Xinjiang brown cattle (Figures 4C, D). This evidence concerns the gene GNG7 and mastitis.
