SLC5A2 and acute pancreatitis: Drug-induced pancreatitis, although infrequent, is most commonly attributable to the use of drugs such as mesalazine, azathioprine and statins and to a lesser degree SGLT2 inhibitors, though a WHO database lists 525 other different drugs that could possibly induce acute pancreatitis. Drug-induced pancreatitis accounts for 0.1% to 2% of all cases of pancreatitis [7-8].
