IGF2BP2 and cancer: To assess the functional impact of circHIPK3 and IGF2BP2 in bladder carcinogenesis, we performed gene set enrichment analysis of 50 hallmarks of cancer gene sets (Liberzon et al., 2015) and found that several proliferation pathways, for example, E2F targets and G2/M checkpoint, are upregulated upon circHIPK3 KD in both UMUC3 (p < 0.05, T-test, Figure 4D) and J82 cells (p < 0.05, T-test, Figure 4—figure supplement 1E).
