In a univariate Cox proportional hazards model involving the entire study cohort, ischemic etiology, HT, anemia, insulin use, LGE presence and GLS were found to be predictors of cardiovascular outcomes, in addition to age, BMI, NT-proBNP, eGFR and LVEF, which are established clinical variables with prognostic profiles (data not shown). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and anemia (phenotype).
