Per the criteria for diagnosis of MIS-C by the American College of Rheumatology, our patient has MIS-C with the clinical manifestations of prolonged fevers (>6 days) associated with rash, oral mucosal changes, GI symptoms, and laboratory findings of CRP >3 mg/dL, COVID-19 IgG positive, and elevated BNP, procalcitonin, D-dimer, LDH, and fibrinogen [13]. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is COVID-19.
