More importantly, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to uncover a novel mechanism by which PART1 suppresses ferroptosis and promotes HCC progression by regulating the miR-490-3p/SLC7A11 axis, where PART1 acts as a ceRNA of SLC7A11 sponging miR-490-3p to regulate the expression of SLC7A11, thus providing a deeper understanding of the ferroptosis mechanism in HCC. The gene discussed is SLC7A11; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
