As shown in Supplementary Table 2 and Supplementary Figure 1, based on miRNA data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, we explored the abnormal expression of miR-545 in over 30 types of cancer and paracancerous tissues and its association with the host gene FTX. Our results showed that pre-miR-545 expression was markedly negatively correlated with FTX in three tumor types: kidney chromophobe (KICH), mesothelioma (MESO), and uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS). This evidence concerns the gene FTX and neoplasm.
