Based on the stated above, the aim of the current study wasto identify the role of the DA system and neurotrophic factorsin the development of autism by analyzing the expressionpatterns of dopamine receptors (Drd1, Drd2) and Cdnf, aswell as Bdnf, its receptors (Ntrkb2, Ngfr), and transcriptionfactor Creb1 mediating BDNF effects in the brain structuresof BTBR mice, which are known to be a model of autism,in comparison with neurotypical C57Bl/6 J mice at differentperiods of ontogenesis. This evidence concerns the gene DRD1 and autism.
