Moreover, we demonstrated that it is sufficient to enhance the activity of AXIN2 to inhibit Wnt signaling in colorectal cancer in spite of the rather small amount of AXIN2 compared to AXIN1 [10, 21], which is consistent with a high importance of AXIN2 for regulating Wnt signaling in cancer cells.
