Observing the pathological similarities between Randall’s plaques and atherosclerosis, it is interesting to note that combined treatment using CD3 and IL-2 has been demonstrated to inhibit the formation of atherosclerotic plaques (26, 27), leading to a pertinent question: Could a similar immunoregulatory strategy also effectively control the progression of Randall’s plaques?
