Unexpectedly, encorafenib was even more potent in PMP than in melanoma cells in the long-term inhibition of the oncogenic MAPK pathway as we could not observe reactivation of the ERK phosphorylation, a phenomenon well described as the BRAF paradox (ref. 45; Supplementary Fig. S5B and S5C right). The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is melanoma.
