PCK2 and posterior cortical atrophy: Furthermore, differential gene expression analysis (considering significance at P < 0.001 and |log2FC| > 1) on genes related to carbohydrate metabolism also indicated a significant decrease in PCK2 expression in SOX4-knockdown cells compared to control cells (Additional file 2: Table S4), suggesting PCK2 as a promising downstream effector of SOX4 on regulating carbohydrate metabolism reprogramming in PCa cells (Fig. 4D).
