CD8A and neoplasm: Although a high density of CD8+ PD-1+ T cells in tumor islets after NACT + P was not significantly associated with increased progression-free survival (PFS) (p =  0.13, 95% CI [0.3–1.2]), it tended to be associated with improved overall survival (OS; p =  0.08, 95% CI [0.2–1.1]; Fig. 2E).
