The 10 proteins were mainly related to cell growth (KAT5, STAT3), differentiation, inflammation, and apoptosis (BCL6), T cell differentiation (BATF), hypoxia, angiogenesis, and tumour metastasis (HIF1A), and circadian cycle (ARNTL, Basic Helix-Loop-Helix ARNT Like 1; NRIP1, Nuclear Receptor Interacting Protein 1; NPAS2, Neuronal PAS Domain Protein 2; CLOCK, Clock Circadian Regulator) (Fig. 3C and Additional File 5: Figure S3). This evidence concerns the gene KAT5 and neoplasm.
