Consistently, we found upregulation of pathways associated with tissue damage in COVID-19, including Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) pathway, EF2 targets, G2M checkpoint, mitotic spindle, and MYC targets (Ahern et al, 2022), in lung samples from mice receiving vehicle, both at 4 and 7 days post-infection (Fig. EV5F). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is COVID-19.
