Among the 26 genes, 14 (KIF22, CALM1, TRIAP1, AKT1, CHFR, CREBBP, ESR1, FGFR3, FOXA1, MAP4K1, MTA3, PAK4, PAK6, and SMARCD3) genes were previously reported to be related to diabetes [29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43] (Figure 1b). This evidence concerns the gene MAP4K1 and diabetes mellitus.
