Regarding serum biomarkers, significantly higher NT-proBNP and cTnT levels were found in the SSc patients than in the control group (median and interquartile range: 43 (17–70) vs. 120 (80–374) ng/mL; p < 0.0001 and 8 (5–10) vs. 17.8 (9.5–27.75) ng/L; p < 0.01, respectively). Here, TNNT2 is linked to systemic sclerosis.
