The EULAR/PRINTO/PRES criteria mandate angiographic abnormalities of the aorta or its main branches, in combination with at least one of the following features: (a) decreased peripheral artery pulse(s) and/or claudication of extremities, (b) blood pressure difference >10 mmHg, (c) bruits over the aorta and/or its major branches, (d) hypertension (related to childhood normative data), and (e) increased acute-phase reactants (ESR above 20 mm/h or CRP above normal). Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
