To test whether EGFR is activated during G6PI-induced arthritis, we then used an antibody against pEGFR (green) and performed colocalization studies with the neuronal marker Neuron-Specific Enolase (NSE, red) and cell nuclei (Hoechst 34580, blue), and merged for colocalization of pEGFR and NSE (last column) in the dorsal horn (Figure 6A) and ventral horn (Figure 6B). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and arthritic joint disease.
