Twelve proteins (11β-HS1, CRP, DPPIV, IRS, PPAR-γ, GK, AMPK, IR, GFAT, IL-1ß, IL-6, and TNF-α) identified from the literature as playing an important role in the pathogenesis of T2DM were used to evaluate their interaction with five phenolic fructosides: 4-O-Mono-fructosyl phlorizin (4MFPh); β-D-Fructopyranosyl-β-(2→6)-ferulate(MFF); Phlorizin-4′-O-β-D-fructofuranosyl-(2→6)-D-fructofuranoside (DFPh); β-D-fructofuranosyl-β-(2→6)-phlorizin (MFPh); and β-D-fructofuranosyl-β-(2→6)-puerarin (MFPu). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
