In this peripheral neuropathy model, vincristine was found to contribute to inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress, as evidenced by the increased gene expression of CHOP, PerK and Ho1 in the quantitative analysis of PCR, as observed in other studies of neuropathic pain-induced reticulum endoplasmic stress in the rat spinal cord [73]. The gene discussed is HMOX1; the disease is peripheral neuropathy.
