We therefore explored the role of G6PD in KP and KL lung tumorigenesis by generating a G6pdflox/flox;KrasLSL-G12D/+;P53flox/flox (G6pdflox/flox;KP) genetically engineered mouse model (GEMM) for KP NSCLC and a G6pdflox/flox;KrasLSL-G12D/+;Lkb1flox/flox (G6pdflox/flox;KL) GEMM for KL NSCLC, and concurrently deleting G6pd and inducing lung tumor via intranasal delivery of Lenti-Cre (Fig. 1a). The gene discussed is KL; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
