Interestingly, among the mutation sites of AURKA in 10,967 tumor samples from 21 types of tumors, the amplification of AURKA was highly associated with mutations of caspases 3, 7, and 8, indicating the biological significance of the caspase 3/7/8-mediated Asp132 cleavage of AURKA in chemotherapy.
