SOAT1 and neoplasm: Cal27 cells with overexpression of SOAT1 formed transplanted tumors subcutaneously in nude mice that were significantly larger in volume and weight than those in the control group, whereas the tumor volume in the HN30-shSOAT1 group was obviously smaller than that in the Ctrl group (Figure 7B-C), suggesting that SOAT1 exerts an essential oncogenic role in vivo and encourages the growth of OSCC transplanted tumors.
