As previously described, METTL3 was up-regulated and ALKBH5 was down-regulated in ischemic heart disease, which reduces TFEB mRNA expression via catalyzing m6A methylation and accelerating the combination of HNRNPD and TFEB pre-mRNA, producing autophagy inhibition resulting in H/R induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis.
