Our recent study demonstrated that deficit of H1R expression in cholinergic neurons resulted in functional deficiency of cholinergic projections from the BF (but not caudate putamen (CPu)) to the prefrontal cortex, and selectively elicits sensorimotor gating ability deficit, social impairments, anhedonia-like behavior and cognitive impairments in several cognition task, including novel object recognition, temporal order memory and Y maze. This evidence concerns the gene HRH1 and Cognitive impairment.
