Consistent with the results of previous studies, the present study revealed a preference for M2 macrophage compared with M1 macrophage infiltration in ICC tissues.23 However, no prognostic correlation between macrophage infiltration and ICC was observed in this study, and FGFR2 mutations were not associated with macrophage infiltration. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR2 and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
