BTG3 and autoimmune hepatitis: In children, lower titers of autoantibodies are regarded as diagnostic as children are less often positive for any autoantibody in the absence of disease in comparison to adults [13, 14, 27], but nonetheless ANA were more frequently observed in children with Wilson’s Disease and ANA and anti-SMA were frequently present in children with MASLD thereby limiting their specificity if they were used to discriminate AIH from these entities in any unclear hepatopathy [28, 29].
