Chlorogenic acid may also exert anti-inflammatory effects by interfering with other TLRs such as, by inhibiting TLR2/TLR9-Myd88 signaling pathway to attenuate the inflammatory response in herpes encephalitis (215), down-regulating expression of TLR2/4 to decrease activity of NF-κB signaling pathway in epidermal cells, and inhibiting skin inflammation in mice (216).
