Among disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), conventional synthetic DMARDs, except for leflunomide, methotrexate, and sulfasalazine, are considered safe to be continued in RA patients with COVID-19 infection; however, all biological DMARDs, except for interleukin 6 (IL-6) inhibitors, and all targeted synthetic DMARDs have been advised to be discontinued in patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection [10]. Here, IL6 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
