A study to assess the determinants of glycaemic control among patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) presenting at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ghana in 2017 indicated that high body mass index (BMI) and use of insulin therapy were associated with poor glycaemic control (high HbA1c) whereas low levels of coffee intake were positively associated with glycaemic control. Here, INS is linked to diabetes mellitus.
