GSK-3β is known to be phosphorylated and inactivatedby the phosphoinositide 3 kinase (PI3K/AKT) pathway.17 GSK-3β has been reported to promote cell growth andsurvival in colon, breast, ovarian, and pancreatic adenocarcinomas.Therefore, we used a specific GSK3 inhibitor SB216763 and found thatSB protected lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells from cisplatin in boththe absence (Figure 7g) and presence (Figure 7h) of JNK inhibition. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK8 and lung adenocarcinoma.
