To ascertain the influence of chronic stress on tumor progression in vivo, we conducted a comprehensive comparison of various parameters related to tumor progression and chemoresistance, including tumor volume, histopathology, and markers indicative of CSC enrichment such as SOX2 and ALDH-1, as well as those associated with the hypoxic microenvironment such as HIF-1α, and the underlying β-catenin levels between EAC and EAC/CS groups. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and neoplasm.
