The presence of mutations in adenocarcinoma histological subtypes such as EGFR, ALK and PDL1 has contributed to developing novel and more tolerable anti-cancer therapies, with improved survival in the otherwise poor prognosis associated with these tumours.43 This review shows that only a negligible proportion (5 patients) had evidence of requested mutations with two positive results for EGFR and ALK mutations, respectively. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
