Patients with low-renin hypertension were older and more likely to be female compared to normal-renin hypertension (57.1 ± 12.8 years vs 51.8 ± 14.0 years, <i>P</i> < .05 and 68.1% vs 49.3%, <i>P</i> < .05, respectively) but similar to PA (53.5 ± 11.5 years and 55.3%). This evidence concerns the gene REN and hypertensive disorder.
