As part of our preliminary study, we conducted a statistical analysis of the serum levels of Lp-PLA2, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, and interleukin 6, sequential organ failure (SOFA) scores and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) scores between 151 patients with sepsis (39 with sepsis, 55 with severe sepsis and 57 with septic shock) and 30 healthy controls. This evidence concerns the gene PLA2G7 and Sepsis.
