The deposition of fibronectin into tissues in conjunction with pro-inflammatory senescent cells might have a protective role in many inflammatory diseases, e.g., atherosclerosis and autoimmune diseases, since the activation of LILRB4 signaling inhibits NF-κB signaling and moreover, it promotes the activation of immunosuppressive MDSCs (Zhou et al. 2020; Singh et al. 2021; Liu et al. 2023). The gene discussed is LILRB4; the disease is autoimmune disease.
