Of the 8 differentially-expressed chemokines, serum levels of Fractalkine (P = 3.0 × 10–4) and MIP-1β (P = 4.6 × 10–3) were significantly lower, while those of BLC (P < 0.001), Eotaxin-1 (P < 0.001), Eotaxin-2 (P = 6.6 × 10–3), IP-10 (P = 6.9 × 10–3), MIP-1a (P = 5.4 × 10–3) and MIP-3a (P = 0.032) were significantly higher in the sera of patients with CRC compared with those of healthy controls (Table 2, Fig. 1B). The gene discussed is CCL4; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
