Experimental evidence was provided regarding the inhibitory effect of recombinant endolysin XZ.700 against S. aureus skin colonization and malignant T cell activation in the case of cutaneous T cell lymphomas (CTCL) blocking S. aureus induction of Interferon-gamma (IFNγ) and IFNγ-inducible chemokine CXCL10 in mice skin and proliferation of pathogenic S. aureus (Pallesen et al., 2023). This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
